California Association of Legal Document Assistants (CALDA) renews Walson Communications as PR Agency of Record

The California Association of Legal Document Assistants (CALDA) the time-honored organization for legal document preparation professionals and supporters of this profession, has renewed its contract with Walson Communications as its PR Agency of Record.

Walson Communications has performed PR and event marketing services for three of CALDA’s annual conferences, which resulted in significant media coverage, including TV and feature newspaper articles.  For CALDA’s 2009 mini-conferences held last September/October, Walson Comm helped CALDA launched the organization’s first social media campaigns, including a Facebook fans page and LinkedIn group as part of its public relations efforts

Starting in January, Walson Communications will continue to perform public relations and marketing services for CALDA, leading up to its 2010 conference later in the year.

Walson Communications becomes Agency of Record for 2010 Asian Pacific Male Calendar

ANAHEIM, Calif.–(15 November 2009)–Walson Communications announced it is the Agency of Record for the 2010 Asian Pacific Male Calendar, now available on Amazon.com (keyword: 2010APM).

The calendar features SURVIVOR winner Yul Kwon (also named People magazines “50 Most Beautiful People in the World, 2006); decorated Iraq war vet, Frank Chan and some of today’s most popular Asian Pacific American male actors and models.

Proceeds from the sale of the calendar will benefit the Asian Pacific Health Care Venture, a Federally Qualified Health Center that provides culturally competent health education and primary care services to 12,400 patients annually in the greater Los Angeles area.

Corin Ramos, principal of Walson Communications, was recently a guest on PR Works Radio Show talking about a client’s recent Facebook campaign, “How to use Facebook to successfully promote a cause.” Walson Comm was the Agency of Record for the National Fibromyalgia Association’s first social media campaign on Facebook, “10,000 for 10 million.” The campaign signed on 10,000 fans in less than 3 weeks, over a month before the campaign’s target deadline.

National Fibromyalgia Association reaches goal of 10,000 Facebook Fans in record time

ANAHEIM, Calif.(Aug. 24, 2009) – It began as the National Fibromyalgia Association’s (NFA) first major social media campaign: get10,000 ‘fans’ on its Facebook page by October 1, 2009 to help raise awareness on behalf of the estimated 10 million people with fibromyalgia and to inform the public about the NFA-the largest U.S.nonprofit organization serving people with fibromyalgia.

Less than four weeks after the launch of its “10,000 for 10 million” campaign, the NFA not only reached its goal-well over a month ahead ofits deadline-but its fans page became one of the few online and offline places where many people with fibromyalgia are finding support for and understanding of their often debilitating, chronic pain disorder.

As one of the first “fans” put it: Finally, a place where we all can come together and share and help one another. What a blessing this will be.”

Walson Communications is named Agency of Record for “Colorful OC,” new cultural and lifestyle TV program to air on KOCE-TV

ANAHEIM, Calif.—(27 August 2009)—There’s a new TV show threatening to break old stereotypes of Orange County as the elite stomping grounds of posh, over-the-top housewives.

Colorful OC” is a half-hour cultural and lifestyle program currently in development.  It is planned as a bi-weekly show with the goal of expanding mainstream media by shining a positive spotlight on cultural segments of Orange County.  Broadcast dates are to be announced.
